We all take different amounts of time to learn new skills, and this applies no less to learning to ride a motorcycle than it does to learning a language.

If you’ve never ridden a Powered Two-Wheeler (PTW), particularly a geared one, it’s a good idea to see this learning time on the course as a separate stage in your development with the Elements of CBT forming part of the overall learning process. Learning to ride can be done on either a geared motorcycle or an automatic scooter. It is necessary before joining the course, that you can already ride a pushbike.

When you’ve grasped the concept and have good control of the machine, we’ll take you out on the roads onto our nursery routes to get the practical experience of using the machine in traffic.
